Description of whole group activity: (Counting and representing
from 1 to 9)
1-The teacher will introduce a
slid show that clarifies many connections verbally, symbolically, and
physically. Children will be able to articulate numbers and represent them by
using their fingers. The way that they will represent numbers indicates their
understanding.
2-The teacher will present a
local story to match both the outcome and the theme. Children will be
assessed by questioning and therefore, they will be able to represent their
numerical knowledge verbally.
3- The teacher will distribute
children in their groups to do the activities or to choose between the free
choice activities.

inserting little flags in the Cork Board she or he has.
-Count the flags to emphasise
the chosen digit.

Description
of closing activity: Time: ____10 minutes____
Monitored
by: MCT - Dr. Hunt
The teacher will review the numbers from 1 to 9 with the students
by showing them the
slide show of (numbers and fingers). Also, children will be able to represent
the numbers by their fine motor skills using their fingers and write the
numbers on the white board.
The teacher then will introduce the "10 little numbers" song and sing it with children.
